Licensed Professional Counselor - MA, LPC, NCC
I help the people-pleasers, worriers, and overthinkers who want to feel valuable just as they are. When you constantly feel overwhelmed, and like you can’t do anything “right”, it’s so difficult to be at peace. You may overcompensate by focusing on work, achievement, or by being dependable to others. You do this to balance out your internal fear of being known as exactly who you are at the center. This leads to anxiety and feeling like you’re never good enough. Your anxiety is crushing and makes you feel miserable no matter how much you try. You feel stressed out, on edge, and unable to be your authentic self.
I work with individuals and families. I specialize in working with adolescents, teens, and adults who struggle with anxiety, stress, mild/moderate depression, self-esteem, trauma, and family issues. I help my clients overcome that “self-critic,” build confidence, & break free from their uncertainties.
Therapy provides you with a safe and trusting space where you can be truly who you are without apologies. I have an approach that is talkative, warm, compassionate, and friendly. I will meet you with ultimate support, empathy, and work with you whole-heartedly. I will look out for you, empower you, and always focus on your well-being. I strive to be a beacon of light and hope for my clients. I may not have all of the answers or a magic wand that can fix everything in your life, but we can work together to help you find meaning, live your life at more ease, and meet your goals.
I believe that your mental health is important and CRUCIAL for your happiness. There is no health without your mental health. I understand what it’s like to feel like your thoughts and emotions are in control of every decision that you make, and that anxiety can get in the way of trusting yourself. It’s difficult when you have the fear of the unknown and uncertainty that holds you back. I know how uncomfortable and vulnerable it can be to share this with someone you do not know, but when you are met with no judgement, compassion, and understanding, therapy can be a wonderful place of hope, healing, and growth. Let me help you live your life with the authenticity that you desire. LGBTQ+ affirming
