Brennan Pedersen
Licensed Psychoanalyst -
Putting thoughts and emotions into words can have surprising and powerful results. There is a freedom in saying out loud—in a unique and confidential environment—what is only said to oneself, often, quietly and without self awareness.
When we allow ourselves to say what we have withheld we begin to see our world from new perspectives, develop new ways of being in the world, and begin to make new choices. Therapy can be painful, slow, and arduous; this is part of why we undertake the process with an experienced therapist, someone to be in our lives for exactly and only this purpose.
This is how I understand my work. I offer the space to feel and say anything. I work with individuals that have diverse issues, struggles, and lives. As a licensed psychoanalyst and graduate of the Center for Modern Psychoanalytic Studies, I work with each patient on the basis of their individual needs as the relationship develops. Through my years of practice I’ve worked with anxiety, depression, obsessive thoughts/behavior, dependency issues and existential challenges.
