First and foremost, I love what I do! I started my private practice as a passion project in January of 2016 after several years in the non-profit sector. Therapy has been a part of my life since childhood. Growing up with a mom who was a social worker, I learned to appreciate the value of emotional health. I’ve also had my own path to emotional well-being where I was blessed to have amazing therapists as my guide.
Having experienced both sides of the couch, I approach therapy with gentleness and compassion. My hope is that therapy can become a safe and collaborative space for you to heal and grow. We will work together to prioritize your goals and find new ways of approaching thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
My work outside of private-practice has included outpatient therapy in a university setting, outpatient and residential addiction treatment, and addiction research. I currently serve as director of counseling services for a private non-profit.
