Beth Horikawa
Associate Professional Clinical Counselor, Substance Abuse Counselor-IT - (LPC-IT and SAC-IT)
Passion and Compassion. I approach my work with both. For almost 40 years as a teacher and now a counselor I have helped at-risk adolescents and young adults in a variety of cross cultural settings. I understand their struggles. I have also worked extensively with older adults facing life transitions such as menopause, career change, retirement, and serious illness. This is my life’s work. It is very rewarding when we use our difficulties to develop resiliency. I provide a safe and caring space for my clients to tell their stories, explore their issues, and heal their sorrows.
