Associate Marriage and Family Therapist - AMFT
Change begins with conversation. I believe that sharing your story with somebody is the first step towards creating meaningful and lasting change. In therapy, I respect you and your story first and foremost, and endeavor to listen thoughtfully and support you on your journey towards healing.
I see therapy as an opportunity to work with you to make sense of situations, develop skills, create healthier relationships, and improve general well being.I am primarily a relational therapist, meaning that I hold the relationship between you and me as the most important aspect of therapy. I hope to collaborate with you to ensure that our work together is helpful to you. I strive to help you become more connected to yourself, so you can connect more authentically to others.
In the room I offer people a warm and inviting space to safely discuss their struggles and integrate the various aspects of their lives and relationships.I often work with people addressing the following issues: anxiety, managing stress, relationship and couple issues, communication and intimacy, depression, life transitions and adjusting to change, body image, childhood and family pain and strugglesI am particularly passionate about working with individuals and couples around a range of relationship issues, including communication and intimacy, and have specialized training in Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFT).
