Avigal Willing

Registered Social Worker - MSW, RSW

Whether this is a new journey or a return – welcome! I am a registered Social Worker with a background in Child and Youth Care, working individually with youth and adults. My therapeutic approach is grounded in the belief that we are experts on our own experiences. I believe that we all come to therapy with different perspectives, expectations, and goals which must be respected and explored to best guide our work together.

I specifically offer support with gender & sexuality, depression, anxiety, trauma and PTSD, family or relationship conflict and communication, high performance dancers and athletes, self-esteem, and suicide & self-harm.

I use a combination of talk therapy and somatic therapy approaches including: parts work (IFS), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), polyvagal, trauma informed stabilization treatment (TIST), and narrative approaches. I take a trauma-informed, harm reduction, and anti-oppressive approach to working with clients from all walks of life.

I offer a free 15 minute consultation where we can explore the possibility of working together.
