Ashley Lingerfelt
Associate Professional Counselor -
Hi, there! I’m Ashley and I help parents and young children. I help new moms heal from postpartum depression, anxiety, and OCD, as well as help families who are struggling with their young child’s emotions or behaviors.
Parenthood is hard. Children often need help handling their big emotions and they look to us for support. It’s normal to not always know how to help your child. Whether your little one is experiencing meltdowns, tantrums, anxiety, new behaviors, or emotions, or if you are a new parent struggling with the adjustment of adding a new little person to your family, I am here to help.
As an attachment child and perinatal therapist, I work with birth parents, adoptive parents, and foster parents and children to overcome emotional challenges and facilitate bonding and attachment through evidence-based practice. Using nature therapy, play-based therapy, and parent-child interventions, I help you understand your child’s behavior and emotions through a unique and effective lens.
I also support parents who suffer from postpartum depression, anxiety, OCD, traumatic birth, and more. Navigating motherhood and parenthood isn’t always easy and I am honored to work with moms and new parents in an empathetic and compassionate environment. Please reach out if you want a helping hand on your parenting journey. We’re in this together.
As a licensed associate professional counselor, I am independently contracted under the direction of Megan Foley, LCSW, and supervision of Amy Robbins, LPC, RPT-S, CPCS, and Jessica Anderson, LPC, RPT-S, CPCS.
