Anna Hallinan

Pre-Licensed Professional - LCSW Candidate -

Hi! My name is Anna, I’m a Boulder-based therapist who offers warm, client-centered therapy for individuals and couples navigating anxiety, trauma, grief, shame, identity shifts, and relationship challenges. I create a space where people can feel safe enough to slow down, get curious, and come back into connection—with themselves and the people they love.
I draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based therapy, and somatic practices to support meaningful, embodied healing. My approach is relational, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that growth happens when we feel seen, heard, and met with compassion. When working with couples I utilize Emotion Focused and Gottman Method practices to support connection, communication, and healing in your relationship.
My practice is inclusive, trauma-informed, and rooted in Health at Every Size (HAES) and fat-positive therapy values. I have a special interest in supporting clients around body image, emotional overwhelm, and disconnection in intimate relationships. I work to create a presence that is steady, warm, and attuned—an anchor for clients doing deep inner work or simply trying to find their footing again.
I earned a Master’s in Social Work from Metropolitan State University and am a Social Work Candidate (SWC) practicing under clinical supervision. I have experience from both private practice and community mental health settings.
I offer therapy in-person in Boulder and online across Colorado.
Beyond my professional pursuits, I find joy in moments spent with my beloved cats, getting lost in a good book, and being in the presence of good company. Whether it’s going for leisurely walks with friends or my spouse or immersing myself in the outdoors, I hold tightly to the importance of self-care and balance in my life.
