Ame Henderson
Psychotherapist -
The therapeutic process is a creative journey where the therapist’s support and presence invites the client to explore what is most meaningful in their life, including what feels painful or difficult. As your therapist, I hope to support you to more fully trust and listen to your inner knowing, and to find more space to experiment with new approaches to what might feel like old or stuck patterns in your relationships and your engagement with the world.
Before pursuing training as a psychotherapist, I worked in the cultural sector as a dancer and choreographer and I have experience with a range of body-based/somatic healing modalities. My approach to therapy is supported and nurtured by this grounding as well as my experiences working in social justice and in the arts and cultural sectors.
We will discover our path together, and while it may not be a fast or linear process, I believe that the journey itself can offer many gifts including deeper self-awareness, a sense of spontaneity and aliveness, and clarity and agency in relationships.
