Please note that I can only accept online clients in California, and can accept both online and in-person clients in Colorado.
I help adults who grew up in alcoholic or dysfunctional homes find healing, growth, and freedom. I specialize in helping those with low self-esteem, depression, anxiety and self-defeating patterns. When people go through immensely confusing, turbulent and scary things in the home growing up, it can affect how they live their present-day lives. As adults, they may feel different than others, have a hard time managing emotions, and struggle with forming healthy relationships–with themselves and others. Therapy can help those burdened by the past and at a loss on how to change, find relief, peace, and manageability.
For a decade, I’ve worked with those who have wrestled with these dense challenges. I’ve witnessed people face deep pain, work though it, take new approaches, and begin leading joyous, authentic lives. I work collaboratively and from a place of deep compassion– going at a pace that is comfortable for you. I’m realistic and do not expect perfection. I am a fan of humor, inspiration and not going it alone–especially when stuff feels overwhelming and really tough. We’ll work on how to regain ownership over your body, thoughts and emotions, while also exploring and strengthening the relationship to yourself–and integrate that health into your life.
I believe that anyone can grow, change and recover at any time in their lives, which is why I love to do what I do. I feel grateful to be a part of a person’s transformation and growth and know it can happen, because I’ve been there. If you are ashamed, sad, mad, tired of feeling the pain, I extend a helping hand–you might be amazed at how better you start feeling when you can release the old stuff, explore new ways, and take care of you.
