Alisia Murphy

Licensed Therapist and Hakomi Practitioner - LCSW

You are a deeply caring and sensitive person who has given so much to others and may now be ready to make space for yourself too. You might feel unsure how to do that without disappointing others, or even yourself, and unsure where to begin. And still, there may be a clear knowing that you are ready for meaningful healing and to honor yourself.

I care deeply about supporting you in this by inviting you into a therapeutic relationship that is compassionate, authentic, safe, and collaborative. Where we get to move slowly, listen closely, and stay attuned to what feels most alive and meaningful for you, in both body and soul. My style is warm and authentic, with space for playfulness, honesty, and directness when it feels supportive. I pay close attention to what unfolds between us, holding the relationship itself as a meaningful container for healing and change in your relationship with yourself, others, and the world.

I am also a licensed therapist or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with advanced training in Hakomi Mindful Somatic Psychotherapy, grounded in decolonized attachment and relational healing. I understand trauma and healing as both embodied and relational, shaped by family, culture, and larger systems. I specialize in working with women and queer folks, therapists, healers, artists, caregivers and deeply sensitive people, as well as those navigating various degrees of relational wounds and trauma, those who are deep in their recovery or navigating chronic health challenges or burnout.

I ultimately work with people, who like you, desire to include themselves in the fabric of care they so lovingly weave for others. Folks who are ready to reconnect with their body’s wisdom, compassionately exploring the forces that have shaped them and their relationships, and moving toward a life that feels more authentic, free, and their own. If this speaks to you, we may be a really good fit and I welcome you to reach out.
