Hello, I am a National Certified Counselor and Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina, and soon to include New Jersey, Texas and California. I also serve clientele internationally. I received a M.Ed. from American Public University, G.C.C.E from North Carolina State University and a B.A. in psychology and philosophy from Rutgers University. I am an eclectic therapist, primarily pulling from CBT, DBT, mindfulness, Adlerian, and Gestalt, while highlighting the mind-body connection. I also offer “Walk & Talk” therapy sessions.My work in the mental health profession began in 2000 and has included work in psychological research, community-based mental health, K-12, military, and private practice. I believe in equity and access to mental healthcare. In my view, we are at a unique juncture in mental wellness as a culture. Technology has enabled more people to access mental healthcare than ever before. Yet we face big challenges: COVID-19, social media overuse, isolation, and loneliness. There is no shame in therapy, as I like to say. We need each other more than ever.
