Alexandra Klein
Clinical Social Worker/Therapist -
I love working with individuals who are eager to find a deeper connection to self and others. Many people who decide to start therapy feel ambivalent about the process, and may feel uncertain about change in general. That is okay. They may not be ready for change and may be coming to therapy in order to first find that motivation for change. They may be highly emotionally sensitive but have never felt understood in their sensitivity. They want to feel heard, seen, understood because these are some of our innate human needs. My job is to first hear, see, and try to understand their experience, while challenging thoughts/behaviors that are no longer working.
My job as a therapist is to first hear and see my clients as they are, in their oftentimes vulnerable forms. I try to validate my clients’ experiences and use the therapeutic relationship as the key component in creating change. I will provide a safe, nonjudgmental, but challenging space to mirror and validate your experience.
With a focus on mind-body connection, I provide Cognitive Behavioral and Dialectical Behavioral strategies to help clients change distorted thoughts or problem behaviors. I love working with individuals suffering from body image issues, eating disorders, or other addictive behaviors. Please reach out for a free phone consultation. I look forward to our work together.
