Adriana Walsh
Counselor -
As your therapist, my aim is to support you in building understanding and compassion for yourself so that you can move through your life with intention. We all encounter difficulties in our lives, and with the right tools and support, these difficulties can be a powerful catalyst for growth, learning, and meaningful change. Together, we will create a supportive and trusting relationship in which we explore your values and strengths, honor your struggles, and celebrate your joys and accomplishments – all in the service of helping you lead a life that feels authentic and meaningful to you.
My areas of focus include anxiety, stress, adjustment to life transitions, identity exploration, self-esteem, grief/loss, and chronic illness. I draw from a variety of methods, including Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, narrative therapy, and mindfulness. I also have a special interest in working with and supporting artists, musicians, writers, performers, academics, entrepreneurs, and other creative individuals. As a musician and songwriter myself, I understand first-hand the vital connection between creativity and mental/emotional health, and have a passion for helping creative people to lead lives that are balanced and fulfilling, both personally and professionally. All of my work is based in identity affirming, anti-oppression, and trauma-informed perspectives.
If you feel we may be a good fit, I encourage you to reach out and schedule a free phone consultation. I offer telehealth therapy throughout the state of North Carolina. No matter what you may be experiencing, you deserve compassionate support, and I consider it an honor and a privilege to partner with you on your journey of growth and self-discovery.Visit my website:www.adrianawalshcounseling.com
